In his youth Murray was a national champion and held several NZ records in speed skating, and is well aware of the determination and dedication it requires to be a champion (see Nicoles story). Murray was also trained those many years ago by Nicole's father Bill Begg. Bill is now a world class coach in speed skating and travels the world coaching.
One of the many life skills learnt from his coach, Murray uses in his business today. He encourages his two speed skating sons and to do your best and never, never give up.
